The Baviaanskloof is part of the Cape Floral Kingdom and
due to its diverse habitat its spectacular landscapes are home to more
than a 1000 different plant species. Amongst the plants growing in the
area are some of the most prominent and futuristic indigenous trees of
Southern Africa.
The Baviaanskloof Nursery is situated on the farm
Onverwags in the Cambria valley, Baviaanskloof, 43 km. from Patensie on the
R332. Most of the trees propagated in the nursery, are grown from seeds
collected from selected indigenous plant material in the area. The
selection of trees reproduced covers a wide scope of applications ranging
from home
gardening, landscaping, urban and industrial park development as well as vegetation rehabilitation programs for farmland and
other large scale eco-sensitive development projects.
